The end of another year.....

Well I don't know about you but this year has gone super fast, although a lot seems to have happened.

I can now show you some zipper pouches I have made, I sent a few of these out for Christmas presents.

This was a really easy pattern and the zips seemed to go in really easy, you can find the pattern here I was really pleased how they turned out.

I had an eventful Christmas first of all I splashed hot fat on my arm on Christmas Day, and YES!!! it did hurt and it now looks like I have some tropical disease!!!   Then on Wednesday I broke a tooth, ouch!  It doesn't hurt but it's very sharp and, of course, my dentist isn't open until the New year.....

And to round off the year Sam came in last night limping, he has done something to his back leg, no idea what but my guess is he has been on the wood pile again and has either fell off or some wood has fallen on him.  He was feeling very sorry for himself last night, he is still limping but bringing his ball to us to play with so we can only presume it's not hurting him as much today.

Don't get much sympathy here.......

Hey, you're on my quilt, how much more sympathy do you want........

Roll on 2013!!

Hugs Linda and Sam

Hi Linda, One way for me to get my family to the kitchen in a hurry was to drop something. I can feel your pain all the way across the Ocean. I like your little bags that you made. I have one similiar size that my grandson's got me to carrying my sewing gadgets in. I enjoyed catching up with you tonight. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Hugs and Prayers from your Missouri Friend.

I can definitely agree that the zipper pouches are gorgeous! Thank you!
What are you trying to do to yourself? Do you want to have all your injuries out of the way before the year ends?
I can imagine the burn on your arm is very painful. Take a lot of care with that one. And there is nothing more uncomfortable than a broken tooth. Hope you can last okay with that one, too.
At least Sam seems to be improving quickly.
Now you just need to get to the end of the year in one piece without another mishap. Be careful!

Poor you and Sam!! Hope you are feeling better - my mum once slipped on grease on the floor while cooking the Christmas lunch and put her hand flat on the cooker ring! Lovely purses!

Poor Sam too, I hope he's recovered too?

The pouches are really gorgeous - I love the hidden zip idea! I think after the fat incident you should stick to the sewing machine and just keep out of the kitchen!
Have a Happy New Year!

I just love zippered bags/pouches. And yours look like such fun!

Maybe you and Sam should stay in today to rest, recooperate and love on one another. LOL

Oh my Linda...Dare I say "Happy New Year"? Well, first I'd better say, I hope your arm heals quickly and isn't too painful now. BUT...that happened in 2012, so you don't have to count that as a 2013 injury, Hooray for that, LOL. And oh that broken tooth, I'm hoping your able to get that taken care of right away. Now about that picture of sweet Sam looking so sad on the quilt...ya know, I think our dogs go to some kind of training that teaches them how to look truly pitiful and sad before they come to us. You know, that look that melts your heart in a nano-second? LOL. Both of mine have it down to a fine art form, really, *grin*. I do love the picture of Sam on the quilt and I was wondering...did he make his own bed or did you help him? My Friskie would fall in love at first sight if she saw him laying on that quilt like that. She does a thorough check of all the blankets, pillows, etc. at floor level, several times a day and if I have straightened them and folded them neatly, she looks at them with pure disgust and "makes" an appropriate bed that looks much like the one your cute Sam is laying on. Problem is, her sister Sadie, prefers a nicely folded bed to lay on. "No wrinkles if you please" in her beds, LOL. Well, I've rambled quite enough I'm sure. But just need to say before I go, that Bob and I wish you and yours a very Happy and Blessed New Year. You can be sure that you are in my thoughts and prayers sweet friend. Let me know how your arm and tooth are doing and also how Sam's leg is. Big Big Hugs coming your way...
***Just so you know, my furry babies are allowed on my quilts too...after all, they are family. Hug n Love...

Oh I hate burning myself on a holiday - you still have to keep on going, pretending like it doesn't hurt. I hope your arm is much been now and your tooth is fixed too. The little zippered bags are so cute/pretty. And Sam is he better now too?
